Becoming a gamer when your young is important if you want to persue it as a hobby :D . And I think its a little bit mean calling a 13 year old kid immature when you have never met him, that guy was prolly just some @$$ who is like 40. But I do agree that getting addicted to WoW is a bad thing and you should play some other games which give you some more time to do other things like sports or reading or talking with freinds or playing cards. Shooting games that you can jump right into and be done after one round like CS are a good idea :D .
Sorry for the long reply but I feel like this is an important issue
well thnx for damn replies --- no im not immature ---Gangsta-Unit
Well up until this response you were holding your own fairly well.....
As far as returning to play after an addictive problem it is not a good idea there are plenty of other less consuming games that you have a choice from. Above all the time spent outside in the community with friends is far more valuable than the time spent in here. Stick to school and studies, that will take you the farthest.

Don't lie to the kid reality sucks! Who needs to know how to play basketball, ride a bike, or how to properly dress/act in public! MMO's teach the true life skills of mob management, skill allocation, 1337 grammer, etc.!
On the serious side though as a long time MMO player, and even longer time addictive personality, trust me on this one. If you had a problem with being addicted to it before then you probably will again unless you set strict guidelines (time to play, how long to play, etc) and follow them (accepting the occasional extended gaming session for Raids of course, or mining, or skinning, or dungeon runs, or...)
