[QUOTE="egger7577"]The GTX 285 is better than both. Maybe better than the gts 450, but not for the 460 in bf3. BF3 is heavily optimized for dx11 cards, a 460 would outpace a gtx 285.I would say a GTS 450 or GTX 460 at a bare minimum to play on low settings.

Medium 1080p around 40ish-50 FPS stable. Medium with some settings on high for lower resolutions, you could propably max it at 720p.
a 460 is enough for high settings TC you can play it medium maybe even high settings depending on the resolution Also you have a very good cpu ( especially when Overclocked ) that can easily outpace and modern dual core cpu. If you wanna upgrade just upgrade the graphics card to something in the likes of Amd 7870 or 7950/70 or gtx 580/570 or gtx 680 anything less than gtx570 you wont see significant improvements over a gtx 285I would say a GTS 450 or GTX 460 at a bare minimum to play on low settings.

Should be able to handle media at a decent resolution. Before you build a new system, it would be worth overclocking that 920 and throwing in a new GPU. If you're not happy with that, you could then upgrade the CPU.C_RuleTC THIS. everyone else here is likely talking out their --- and have no idea that id many dx10 games gtx 285 beats gtx 460 LOLOL
thanks so much for all the feedback guys, I want to overclock my CPU but im scared too, I have never overclocked before, is there any guides to show me how instructions on how to overclock my cpu? I wouldn't mind trying that first and just upgrade my graphics card to one of the ones you all suggestedProjectPat187your cpu isnt to blame. your cpu is more than enough for todays games and any games in the future.
your cpu isnt to blame. your cpu is more than enough for todays games and any games in the future. oh cool in that case im gonna order a GTX 580 today, thanks so much for the help[QUOTE="ProjectPat187"]thanks so much for all the feedback guys, I want to overclock my CPU but im scared too, I have never overclocked before, is there any guides to show me how instructions on how to overclock my cpu? Yeah I'm still using an overclocked 460 and it can run that game nice and smooth on settings from High-Max (though not fully max) with dx11.
thanks for your useless post[QUOTE="GLaDoSxxx"]
My post was actually relevant. Yours isn't.

Did you even look at the link? I actually tried to help.
yeah in fact you contributed alotI think I'm the only one who contributed anything to this thread. Read the first reply. The game is a broken buggy P.O.S. on the PC. If you want to play BF3 you might as well do it on the console since the game was designed for consoles. Also, if you enjoyed BF2/BF2142 then stay away from BF3 or you will be sorely disappointed overall. EA/DICE is literally the most incompetent developer in the market right now. All the best employees at DICE have already left for greener pastures. I'm running the best PC specs you can. GTX 590's in Quad SLI and 16 GB RAM, 240 GB SSD, i7-980x 12M L3 Cache. It crashes to desktop often, also online you get "Disconenected from EA Online (1)" at least once every ten times you join a game. It's a buggy P.O.S. and I uninstalled it a month ago. After the most recent patch it has destroyed the game. I suggest that you do some research before blindly purchasing the worst game of 2011.SKaREOI never get crashes to desktop :s also I have to say im sorry you wasted so much money on that system.
