Why Isn't There Any Discussion for Heroes of Newerth?

Currently, I've yet to see any discussion with HON on these boards, granted this is a phenomenal RTS/Arena arriving this year.

Maybe I'm the only one excited for this on the GS boards, lol...

It is a really good game, it's just that the learning curve for non-DotA players is so high. I didn't play DotA and my KDR used to be around 0.6, but once the stat wipe took place in Oct/Nov, I started getting better. It took me a while, but I worked my way up to 1850 PSR and a 2.6 KDR, and those are all non-EM games.

I got a beta key, but I suck at DoTA type of games, and since I don't like to take my team in the path of defeat, I don't play it. rmfd341

I got into the closed beta. It was alright, your standard DoTA type game, but with slightly better graphics and more of a ranking system. The reality is that it feels like a port version with minor improvements and "newerth-ized" heroes. If your a big fan of DoTA, then you'll enjoy it. Otherwise, don't bother, it doesn't change anything to make it more appealing to other type gamers.

Played it for a few weeks. Most of its heroes and items are copied from dota so it didn't really have a long learning curve. For the most part just as fun as dota except it has better graphics. Didn't really have much of a lasting appeal for me to play it for longer.

I tried it out along with LoL, but the comunity from DoTA came on both ends, and that made me not want to play either.

I just learned that current Beta players have been given a couple invites to get their friends into the game. Would it be possible for someone to invite me? I'd really like to play this game.
