No, i will get it for like 10 bucks sometime soon.

I bought it and predownloaded it already, sorry but alot of you seem cheap, get a job. The mp beta was fun, i am fine with a 6 to 8 hr campaign as long as it is fun, I will just replay it on a harder difficulty next time. Better then a 16hr drawn out boring one. Not suprising, I already know you have to be a obscure game or a exclusive to get any love from most of the pc users here.

its not that we are cheap its just that the game simply isnt worth the moneyÂ
I've heard from multiple sources that the game is incredibly short, so I'll wait. I'm not going to play full price for a sequel that's the same length as or shorter than the expansion pack of the first game.

Welcome to the real world. People like different things. Deal with it.

i understand your pain (talking about cod)
okay so I have a new reason not to buy crysis 3. all the youtube ads for it keep delaying my movies... annoying
I have to play it at medium. settings. I imagine even a gtx 680 would have trouble at very high settings. Scratch that. High feels smoother since its locked at 30 frames.Â

Did he say if it was on Normal? I'll just play on hardest difficulty like I usually do with games nowadays. Thanks for the heads up though.According to Keven V from Gamespot, the game is too short and too easy, which is kind of a letdown.
I'll still get it eventually because of the graphics and I want to see how the game ends, but it's sad that the game is so short and easy.

I'll get it for christmas, looks fun but got a big backlist to go through and wanna play the new Bioshock and GTAV beforehand....and something else I can't put my mind on...
I own an Xbox 360, gaming PC, and a PS3. I think I'm going to buy the PS3 version from the Playstation Store through download, unless the retail PS3 version installs at least most of the game onto the hard drive. Â I have a 240GB SSD in my PS3 and will like to make more use of it. Â I have a powerful gaming PC (i7 3820, GTX 680, etc..) but I don't feel like dealing with the Origin client as I find it too intrusive. Â

Another reason why I most likely will buy the PS3 version of this game. Â I'm sick of many PC games not being optimized for PC hardware.

Hes on a GTX 555. its a POS card.*Gtx 660 *awesome card for the priceThe game feels smooth playing at 30 frames with my Gtx 660. At medium setting it switched from 30 to 60 frames too often. On high settings it stays at 30 frames for the most part and feels smooth. The graphics look so much better than Crysis 2.Â
Have you ever even tried Origin? Hell, I only have Crysis and BF3 on Origin myself (the rest on Steam) but I can assure you it's faster and prettier than Steam nowadays and the DRM on both is the same.I own an Xbox 360, gaming PC, and a PS3. I felt so ripped off by Crysis 2 that I vowed to never give Crytek more money. Now I hear the campaign is 6hrs. Why should I give a damn?

Â
I tried Origin as I had no choice for some of my PC games. Â The intrusive part is that sometimes a popup ad appears on the screen after I exit an Origin game and I must close that ad window manually if I don't want the ad to show up and I find it annoying. Â There is no option to disable advertisements in the Origin settings.

Steam does the exact same thing with pop up ads when you exit a game.[QUOTE="DJP3000"][QUOTE="8-Bitterness"] Have you ever even tried Origin? I get around 70fps maxed out with SMAA. Around 110fps on High. First real level though..
Edit: Rez: 2560 x 1440
Ontrac (west coast delivery "thing") just delivered my Crysis 3. Upon installing from disc, it boots up Origins and asks me to enter the game code. No point of dvd discs lol.. Downloading now from Origin.. so this will take a moment apparently.
Edit: Â Ok that's weird. Â I ejected the disc and it asked me to put the disc back in.. but I'm looking at Origin and it's downloading like a digital version.. without an install prompt window. Â Hah
Can anyone with a GTX480 or comparable GPU let me know how this game is working for them? CPU bottlenecking is not an issue for me; I have an i7 3770K, and I game at 1080p.
psn8214
GTX 470, all high except low shadows and very high water, 1 SMAA. Constant 40 fps.
In three hours I finished the first two levels. Second one took more than two hours. Somewhere in the middle it struck me that the last loading screen was ages ago, and it just kept going on and on. Awesome stuff.
It looks absolutely RIDICULOUS. A game from the future. And I'm not even playing on maximum settings! Mindblowing, really. It's incredibly atmospheric. I love the music and ambient sounds.
The first level is a mostly linear tutorial. The next one mixes gigantic Crysis 1 style open areas with smaller interior sections. And high grass which bends to objects and wind. You can explore a lot of open ground and, unlike Crysis 1, it's actually interesting to explore. I spent a while just kicking objects through grass and water. It introduces Jurassic Park-style stalking through high grass.
The story so far is more interesting than in both previous games. There are many logs to find and they actually fix what Crysis 2 ruined. The Ceph information is very cool, they found a great reason for the difference between the ice aliens and the Crysis 2 ones. Psycho is awesome.
I'm just as impressed as I was back in 2007 by the first game. If it doesn't take a nosedive later, it'll end up better than it and Warhead.

GPU usage at 48% each and vRAM at 3.75GBs. Meanwhile, my CPU usage is at 99-100%. -.- Bottleneck.
