Alright guys, so I have a pretty decent rig, i56600K, gtx1080, 16gb of ram on windows 10, and in certain games like, bf1, RO2 Vietnam I'm getting some terrible framerates. So I'd like to know, what program or tests I can run to see if everything is working in harmony, what is slowing my computer down or if something is bottlenecking something ?

Before in bf1, I could play on ultra at 1440p with a steady 90+fps. Now, no matter what settings I use, high on 1080p, sometimes the fps can drop to 60 :/

But, in certain games like DOOM, I can play everything on ultra and get 144fps on 1440p :s

I looked around and there doesn't seem to be an "overall" program that will test your system. There is that one pc benchmark which test your pc but doesn't say if anything is wrong with it... annoying :/

There really isn't one central program that checks the whole computer for all faults. Like another poster said, you have specific programs for specific tests.

On the actual issue, what's recently changed that has caused the slowdowns? Did you upgrade a driver? If so, rollback to an older one and test.

@jack00: If you get good fps at one game and crap fps at another the problem is within that 1 problematic game.

Try reinstalling / fix BF1, maybe their latest patch screwed things up, try updating GPU driver.

you could see check the stats on afterburner osd when you are experiencing bad performance, is the gpu/cpu usage dropping, is the gpu clock dropping? Generally Unigene Heaven is pretty good for testing GPU, Prime for cpu and Memtest for ram

Well I didn't change anything on the computer besides the drivers for the GPU, and there's been so many updates since then I have no idea which one ran it better.

Reinstalling bf1 didn't change anything.

Thx for the feedback guys, i'll try separate tests with programs like Howmakeweed suggested.
