Is the pc gamer mag worth getting?

RPS is a really good place to start.

RPS, NeoGAF, /v/ and /vg/ are all I need.

I also check Eurogamer out of inertia, they really went downhill...

Well there are some benefits like PC Gamer gave out Planetside 2 beta keys to all their magazine subscribers

IGN it's the best of the best.

Only Rock Paper Shotgun. I like Quarter to Three is another site I like. It is not PC-exclusive, but they cover more PC gaming than most general game sites. Also Tom Chick is one of the few real video game critics. He doesn't pander to big publishers with perfect tens. He gives his opinion on a game whether that be 1/5 or 5/5 stars.

He gave Deus Ex a 4/10. In general he's a pompous arse that bans left and right and trashes popular games, but hey, more power to you if you like him.

I like all the video gaming websites. Gamespot, IGN, 1up, Destructoid, GamePolitics, PCgamer, etc. They're all good.

RPS for articles and stuff, Steparu and mmorpg for MMOs, NeoGAF is a great place to lurk, obviously /v/ to kill time, hate on casuals and talk about spaghetti, and /vg/ for specific games and kpop.
