What is the best Multiplayer PC game?

That is a insanely generic question and honestly I have a really hard time answering it. they're is so many good online games for the PC it really depends what your looking for. Like are you looking for something from a different genre or something just like that?

MY personal opinion ofcourse is;

Best FPS: Team Fortress 2 & Battlefield 3 (Left 4 Dead 2 if youre into coop)

Best RTS: Starcraft 2 & Dota 2

Best RPG: Well they all suck IMO since most of them are mindless MMOs & crappy isometric ARPGs (Diablo 3 and the like)

For me, it'd be Battlefield 3. There's just a lot of teamwork and balance going on (at least on my end), plus I've logged a ton of hours in this game.

Subjective, it's like asking "whats the best airplane".

OP did you actually try any of the listed games on this thread?

My personal favorite multiplayer game of all time is Everquest 1 ( before SOE bastardised it ) and my favorite competitive multiplayer game of all time is Quake III Arena

I personally like Starcraft 2, LoL, Chivalry, Natural Selection 2, TF2, Killing Floor, L4D2.  All fun games for Multiplayer
