Q9450, if you can find one. The Q6700 is pretty cheap now, under $300. For overclocking it's a tough call. The Q9450 has an 8 multiplier, while the Q6700 is set at 10. I think getting higher frequencies would be easier with the Kentsfield, but it's not all about clock speed in the end. Yorkfield is a superior core...though not by a huge amount for gaming...
