For under 100.00

I'll mainly be using it for games but I will listen to music as well. I mainly won't a sound card that will let me listen to some good bass and I would like it to have some thing like eax speaker testing that sort of stuff.

I put this question in the wrong form before comming here.

Hmm, I've got a cheap-o sound card that does the job fine, but I may have to pick this card up and give it a try (and see what I'm missing). I'm just wary because I had a Creative Labs card a few years ago that would cause freezing in my games. When I investigated, it seems that a lot of people were having a similar issue. But, that was years ago!

My current sound card is a sound blaster audigy 4 and it works with 1.2 1.4 and 1.5 also 1.7 and inbetween ones as well anyways my issue with the one that I have at the moment is this.

It works for a while and then out of nowhere it will like delete its self and there would be no sound well there would be sound but I couldn't run a speaker test or get drumbs and bass on like I used to so I would tell the install dis to repair it and it would but then it seems a few days or weeks I'm not sure wich it would do it again and it is driving me batty. So that is why I'm wonder what is the best card for that amount of dollars.

Also I'm willing to go over that amount just a little bit but mainly what I want to do is check out some sound cards read up on them and see if any stores around here has any.

What I need is some thing that will support a 5.1 speaker system. If it says 1.2 and so on then that is fine but I need it to support 5.1.

Thank you very much bionic because I have look at that card you told me about and it sound it so good that I whent out and bought it and it is truly a nice sound card aspicaly fro the money that I spent on it. I have the 5450 surround sond speaker set and it really sounds crear and very nice. Nicer then the sound blaster audigy that I had before this one. It is truly versitile.
