What games would a girl enjoy?

I'm trying to find a new game for my sister who is getting bored of the sims 2.

What games should I consider getting her? She's into sandbox games such as the sims 2, and she doesn't like shooters or rpgs or anything with too much action in it.

Any ideas?

On a serious note, Minecraft, Portal 2, Mirror's Edge, Braid, Machinarium, and games similar to them.

I do not like minecraft. I rather just spam barrles in garrys mod.JigglyWiggly_

Not surprising considering how much you love Quake Live, a pure skill-based game where strategy is tied up in the trunk while your reaction times are hitting the nitro boosts while flying over a flaming ramp of doom just barely making it past the fiery lava pit with flame resistant mecha sharks weilding guns trying to kill you using their aimbot. Garry's mod is nice, no it's more than that, it's excellent, but I think Minecraft is especially good for people that are receptive to a feeling of accomplishment, i.e the type of people that get addicted to sims and MMORPGs. I believe this is the case since in Minecraft, building things requires some effort in that you first must gather resources to build tools to gather the resources you really need, and then on top of that you must craft items slowly while also surviving all the nasties that appear in dark areas such as caves or everywhere during night time.

I've played gmod since 8.3a, it's a sex pose simulator.

Or alternatively

Or show your leetness by doing the same thing in not gmod and doing the exact same thing with only the console to show the size of your e-penis.

perhaps a city building themed game?, Tropico 4 will be released soon, Sim city 4, the old "empires" series, like Emperor, Caesar IV, Zeus

civilization is a good one too, but too much on the complicated side, she should also try spore (as bad as that game is)

Sweet mother of -- if Quake Live was like that I'd think the entire world would be playing. Also, it actually does require a bit of strategy once you get into dueling, but I won't go there.

I like both Quake and Minecraft. :)

I made my girl into a gamer after we moved in together. I come home and find her playing GTA IV, Black Ops, and SSIV AE.

Well my girl plays Guild Wars and Diablo 2 with me. We plan on playing Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3 together. Have thought about getting The Sims 3 to play together.

Terraria is also alot of fun with little to no pressure to do anything but what you want to do, simply dig and build if thats all you wanna do.

Recettear is pretty "cute" if she needs that factor. Your this little anime girl who runs an item shop. You can either simply collect items from other stores and up the price, or you can go adventuring for other items. Its very relaxing. And even better, there is a free demo on steam right now so she can give it a spin.

Trine is gorgeous with an "adventure" kind of feel to it. I could honestly go on and on... I kinda really like PC games ;)

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say that any game you two can play together she'll have more fun with.

My girlfriend doesn't really love videogames, well she is totally addicted to Farmville and other Facebook games, but I don't consider that piece of sh** videogames. I once played Tekken with her and she enjoyed, you just have to let them win, my opinion is that they like easy and free games, the big majority of them would never even think of spending a nickle on videogames for themselves. It's just my opinion based on my experience though.
