That graphics card is ancient. Doesn't matter what your processor is it still won't work with that card. Also I'd reccomend 2 gigs.

Curly,

I can run it perfectly on this:

2.6GHz Dual Core.

8800 GT (512mb).

2GB DDR RAM.

Water Cooler.

Use that as your benchmark my friend...

Call of Duty runs surprisingly well on mid-range machines. I'm playing it with max settings on my amd x2 4200, 2 gigs, and a 7900 gt, which is by no means top of the line. If you really want to play CoD4, I'm guessing you could get an adequate upgrade for only $400 to $500.

the game's pretty well optimized, but i don't think yours will work. the 1gb ram and the 80gb hd are fine. but your video card sounds weak.

OK - the heavyweights have spoken and jibed away.

I played it quite fine with a single core PC (3500+), 7950GT and 1GB ram. The game does a good job in scaling down and it still looked fine. Yes, you need a better GPU, but that's probably it.

I don't own the game myself, but my uncle is able to play the game well enough on his Dell with probably 1 gig of ram, a pentium 4, and an ATI radeon 9800. That will get you minimum settings, but you will at least be able to play it with that at a playable framerate.

Assuming you have a serviceable processor, you can spend $100 or so on a videocard and you should be set.

your rig will max out cod4 easy and will play crysis on high.

oh, and just buy crysis retail. ea downloading thing isn't that great (and very expensive). just go to gamestop. i just got my copy there. it's $40 now.

you can run the game fine, i have those settings, with a pentium 4 and can run the game at 60 frames per second on low.

I may run these games on low settings but i laugh at all the ppl who can run at high but with 30 frames per second and i own them online cause i have much better prefromance cause i can deal with low settings

ur pc will handle fine, just make sure to set everything to low and ur rocking
