I have an Alienware M17x with dual Nvidia Geforce GTX 260Ms, an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 at 2.0 GHz and 4 gigs of RAM. Since it's a prebuilt Alienware laptop, that's about all that matters. I can run BF:BC2 on all high settings, no AA around 30 FPS and Metro 2033 on all high, no AA anywhere from 20-30, with 25 being average.

I have to wonder if I should really list my specs given how old they are. Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 + Xigmatek S1283V 2x2GB G.Skill DDR2 800 RAM Gigabyte GA-965P DS3 rev 1.0 XFX 9800GT Corsair HX520 Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic Samsung F1 1TB Seagate 7200.10 320GB Samsung 22x DVD RW Samsung T220 Logitech G9 Deck Legend Frost Audio Technica ATH-AD700 Lian-Li PC-P50 + EX-332 drive cage Probably a poor selection of parts to buy in this day and age except the peripherals.RayvinAzn
Well, the only thing that stands out that should be upgraded are the processor, the 9800gt and possibly the sound card (XtremeMusic doesn't support X-Fi, so I've heard). Everything else though is pretty awesome.
Therein lies the conundrum. The P965 chipset does not support 45nm quad-core chips, only older Q6xx0 series processors which are hard to find and absurdly expensive. Upgrading the 9800GT too far without a quad-core chip doesn't make much sense either. But the X-Fi XtremeMusic does support the latest version of EAX - you're thinking of the Xtreme Audio probably.Well, the only thing that stands out that should be upgraded are the processor, the 9800gt and possibly the sound card (XtremeMusic doesn't support X-Fi, so I've heard).
