why do you need such information unless you are trying to run games with a card thats lower then fx series 9000 series cards.

Back in 2003 I replaced a GeForce MX 400 with an FX 5200 and that was around the time it started to become a standard. Speed-wise that upgrade made little difference, but the main point is that PS 2.0 has been around since at least that time and almost every game since either requires it or requires newer versions.Stinger78
