320 SPUs, 512 bit Memory Interface, 600MHz Core Clock, 160MHz Memory Clock.
I heard the price will be nearly 250$ & I don't know it's true or not

I guess so. Undercloked HD 2900XTLahiruD
I would have sworn they were cutting the memory interface in half at the very least. If this graphics card does come out at $250, this card is going to be probably the best deal since the 9800Pro. Slight core clock decrease and a negligible memory clock increase, all of which will save you $150 at least?
From the link, it even states that the HD2900Pro will have 320 stream processors and the same exact 512-bit memory interface of the HD2900XT. Only difference is the HD2900Pro is clocked lower and costs $150 less.Hiryuu_
I think thats a underclocked R600XT & the price isn't reveald yet. If that's a R600 Pro card most of them will buy that card & will overclock that card to R600XT's clock speeds. Then there won't be a market to R600XTs & that card (R600Pro) will be popular than any graphic card on the market
[QUOTE="LahiruD"]No it won't bcoz it has 256 bit memory interface, 160 SPUs

I'd like to see some proof please.
Rumors says R600Pro (HD 2900Pro) will have half of R600XT's SPUs, lower clock speed than R600XT & 256 bit memory controler. Also R600Pro is design to compete with G84GTS (8600GTS) not G80GTS.
About proofs you will see it nearly future
a few days ago i posted information about the hd 2900 pro.... on overclockers uk they have it don with 512bit interface with 320 stream processors.... it seems like a bloody good deal for the cash! i think people who want it to have a 256bit interface etc could just be not wanting ati to come out with anything good.... i cant see why else you wouldnt want an amazing card for a dirt cheap price.....
No way in hell is an 8600 gonna outperform an HD2900Pro, even if it does end up having a 256-bit memory interface.Hiryuu_lol maybe but if its aimed at competing with the 8600 then you never know
It's aimed at competing with the 8800GTS 320MB, considering it's $250 price tag.Hiryuu_oh seen then it will most likely lose that then, hopefully it will give the 8800GTS a run for its money but i doubt it.
Wow soo much misinformation.
The HD2900PRO are the lower binned XT cores that are fully enabled, 320SPs.
The HD2900PRO WILL have a 256bit interface, performance decrease due to the interface will be negligible.
It will be priced at $200-$250, 256mb GDDR3 and 512mb GDDR3 respectively.
Supposedly drawing ~150w of power, between an 8800GTX and GTS.
The whole point of the HD2900PRO is to beat the 8700P(G92) to market, since the HD2900PRO will be launched in Oct. Then once the 8700P is out, AMD plans to refresh with the HD2950PRO(RV670) to make sure they dominate the midrange/performance market.
[QUOTE="DerkaDerkaJihad"]I'm thinking the 2900pro will be able to compete with the 8800gts since ati is finally getting their drivers worked out.LahiruD

Uh not according to that article. And please do yourself a favor and stop bottlenecking your 8800 GTS with that P4 CPU...

If you can give me some $$$s I will stop bottlenecking my G80GTS (GeForce 8800GTS).
I'm trying man, I'm trying my best to stop bottlenecking
If you didn't want it to bottleneck and you don't have the money, why the **** did you buy a $400 video card? Not to mention you only have 1GB of RAM. =/Hiryuu_lol the thing is if he had got a worse card he would have got even less, with the 8800GTS he will still get a decent performance, remember the gpu is the most important thing.

Yeah I agree GPU is the most important thing to gaming.

I bought that card bcoz I'm going to assemble a new computer. (I thought about that before buying the VGA card) Before this I used the onboard VGA (X200). If i bought a 7600GT I can't play games like a 8800GTS while using my OLD P4.
In november or december I will buy those parts a Q6600, 2GB RAM, 500GB HDD, P35 MBoard.
Then the bottlneck is over

LordEC911 got pwnt.
The GPU clock is 400mhz I believe, according to newegg.com.
I wouldn't worry too much (people who have 8800GTS). The 8800GTS still has higher FPS than the 2900PRO in alot of games according to some of the new benchmarks done by PCLAB.pl. I believe the only game that the 2900PRO beats the 8800GTS is STALKER (out of the ones done). IN 3dmark06 the 2900PRO is 9500 while the 8800GTS is around 9100. It will probably be whichever card can OC more that wins and since ATI is known for heat and poor warrenties, it will probably be the 8800GTS.
