Uprgrading my system today :D

Going from this:
Amd 3800+ single core
2gig of ddr1 ram
Radeon x850XT platnum
Gigabyte K8N (939 :P )

To this:
Intel duo E6750
2gig ddr2 ram
EVGA 8800 GT superclocked edition
Gigabyte motherboard (not sure which one i cant really remember) they guy just recommended one and i said yeah. lol

the other things that are staying in is just a 200gig Hard drive and a pretty nice sound-blaster card (top of the line about 2 years ago) cant remember the exact specs on them :P

Im pretty excited though. Probably gonna fork out some $ next week for a new 22' lcd aswell :D

what do you guys think about the upgrade?

Running Vista? Forget the monitor and work up the RAM if you are.

F vist imo. XP pro is what i will be running. just sticking to a 1x2gig stick and gonna put another one in probably in a month or so. I only want a new monitor cause the 17' just dont cut it anymore. lol

I will upgrade to vista when there are more DX10 games available. but atm xp is fine
