Just about to buy the 2070 as an upgrade on my current AMD 290X, looking to get much better performance especially with VR. Would you say that is what the 2070 offers, and it is worth the upgrade?
As an RTX 2070 owner, I would only get into the RTX line if you are interest in "ray-tracing" technology for that purpose and I woudn't buy those regular 2070, get yourself the "Super" edition, you get a much better performance and while I don't own a Super, I just overclocked it to the point I was able to get it up to Super level.
As I said, get RTX 2070 if you are going for ray-tracing but like @04dcarraher said, get the RX 5700XT for maximum performance without ray-tracing which AMD lacks. (For now at least)
@davillain-: yeap a even that over price and performance hit. ,,, they ruse it to market way to early.
Very little is known about the 3000 series besides it'll probably be using samsung's 7nm euv. euv could be superior basically 7nm+.
would take this rumor with a pinch of salt. but the current rumor says the 3000 series will launch first half of 2020. I do believe the 3000 series will come out in 2020 nvidia needs to compete against big navi and next gen consoles.
The one change that I want for the geforce cards is to get rid of the INT. INT takes up probably 30%? of the die space but is almost worthless for gaming.
