ive just gone SLI with my 660 ti and i have a 3 way monitor surround setup. But my computer just shut off as if someone has pulled the power plug out. But if i go SLI with just one monitor it doesnt. Is this a PSU problem or maybe a bois upgrade issue?

The extra work might be making the GPUs draw more power from the PSU with the soround display, and 600W might not be cutting it.

I also think this is whats happening. 600W just doesn't seem like enough for SLI, even though they are only 660's.

I thought the same thing but it runs fine with just 1 monitor. soon as i put the 3 on it cuts out, but not all games has this effect. Ive just been playing dishonored and it didnt crash. But with crysis 3 and mechwarrior online it does. Same with kombuster. Thats why i mentioned BIOS update?

With only 1 monitor connected, the GPUs draw less power. When more than 1 monitor is connected, the GPUs have to work harder, which means they draw more power. Dishonored isn't a demanding game at all, but Crysis 3 is very demanding, which is why it only crashed on Crysis.

600 watts won't be enough to power that while running 3 monitors. Your 2 GPUs will be drawing max power while running all 3 in game. You should get a 1000 watt PSU. That will slove your issues.

Even with just 1 monitor and SLI enabled, you won't max those GPUs out. They draw the most when they are outputting to all monitors while hitting near 100%. Very few games can max SLI GPUs at 100% and they are pushed even further when outputting more video.

22 amps on the 12 volt rail is roughly 265 watt.  Your cards have a max power consumption of around 130 watts, that's 260 watts total. To stay on the safe side, look for a PSU with at least 30 to 35 amps on the 12-volt rail(s).

That one would do fine, though it has only 4 SATA connectors, which is a touch thin.  Of course, it still leaves room for one ROM and 3 hard drives... depending on if you use only SAATA devices...

But the PSU is okay, both qua watt as amps.

You don't necessary need dual rail 12V+ (having all the amps on a single rail is actually more efficent). I would get the Corsair 750W that the user above me linked for you (single 12V+ rail with 62 amps, 4x 6+2 connetors, good reliablility).
