Hey everyone!

I figure it's about time we refresh the benchmarks thread so here is a new sticky for you to post to. All of the scores from the old thread have been carried over, but not the posts because there's no practical way to do that. Feel free to post your scores as you have in the past if you'd like to have any of the scores below updated. Also, since some of the data in this thread is old I'm open to suggestions on newer benchmarks that we can add to the list.

For reference, the old thread has not been removed but has just been unpinned from the top of this forum. You can still view it here but please post new replies in this thread instead.

For all benches a please post your results like so...

"Score 1000000, 4770k @4.0GHz, Titan X @1000/1000"

Please include your clock speeds as these benches often get them wrong so either include a GpuZ/CpuZ grab or just write them.

For Unigine Heaven and Valley please use the settings and resolutions shown, we have 1080 and 1440 versions of both. Both are the same setting with different resolutions.

Please include a screen grab of your results :D

3DMark standalone or through Steam

For 3Dmark please include a link to the score page and make sure onboard GPU's are off.

Firestrike Ultra, Firestrike Extreme, Firestrike and Skydiver are all supported in this thread.

Enjoy

Ran the tests again. With single GTX 980Ti now.

Firestrike: 15 793 - 6600K at 4.7GHz - GTX 980Ti at 1459/1753 (although the link says 1651???) Horgen

Firestrike Extreme: 8 228 - 6600K at 4.7GHz - GTX 980Ti at 1459/1753 - Horgen

Firestrike Ultra: 4 570 - 6600K at 4.7GHz - GTX980Ti at 1459/1753 - Horgen

Before I do SLI runs I'll try to reach 4.8 or 4.9 on the CPU. I also can't belive my score in Firestrike Ultra is better than 58% of the results.

I haven't really played anything that gives me too much trouble. Though I've gotten hooked on mmos. Met some cool friends and can't seem to get away from them. (having too much fun)
That said. I have a few options I'm looking at. Just depends on the budget I have/deals I find when I have the cash.
Whatever I take out of this pc will go into the other.

I'm back with a new PC. A little over 30% more power than my regular Dual 1080's SLI & i7 6850K. No overclock yet, this is stock.

Good luck OC'ing the CPU.

I plan on setting the boost speed on all cores. I hope I can get 4.3 or 4.4 on all.

First run with Firestrike Ultra on a single RTX 2080.

Score 6162 - 6600K @4.7GHz, RTX 2080 @ 1920/1750 - Horgen

In a bench like Firestrike with extremely good SLI scaling, a single RTX 2080 actually scores lower than GTX 980Ti SLI. As my previous score was: Score 8825 - 6600K @ 4.7GHz - GTX 980Ti SLI @ 1455/1753 - Horgen, however compared to a single GTX 980Ti it's a huge improvement: Score 4570 - 6600K @ 4.7GHz - GTX980Ti @ 1459/1753 - Horgen

Next logical thing for me to do is getting a better CPU.

Edit: new Score 6571 - 6600K @4.7GHz, RTX 2080 @ 2080/1800 - Horgen

I think that was the clock speed for overclocked. I haven't tried clocking the memory any more.

Some updated scores.

Firestrike Ultra Score 6680 - 6600K at 4.7GHz, RTX 2080 at ~2050MHz/7400MHz - Horgen (14800 effective I think)

Built a new PC and decided to side grade on the GPU and got a RTX 2070 the offers where too good to pass up, I have been holding out on a upgrade for 2 years now and got tired of waiting.

I just did a quick overclock on the GPU/CPU and got the following scores:

Firestrike: 21191 - 8700K at 4.8GHz, RTX 2070 at 2040MHz/1813MHz

Timespy: 9536 - 8700K at 4.8GHz, RTX 2070 at 2040MHz/1813MHz

I haven't really noticed a performance drop worth crying about over my 1080 Ti and the CPU boost along with M.2 PCIe speeds this has been a great upgrade... Plus I will end up getting a new GPU from Nvidia by the end of the year if they release a new series.

Single core is still in the dumps, but Ryzen multicore is where it's at. And this run is as stock as it gets

@goldenelementxl:

AMD's offer is competitive but Intel's solution is fastest for gaming and certain video encoding software uses Intel's Quick Sync and NVIDIA's video codec.

Recent Blender 3D betas has NVIDIA's RTX support.

Firestrike Ultra

https://www.3dmark.com/fs/21401420

Score 14633 - 2950X @ 3.5Ghz, GTX 2080 TI SLI @1920/1750 - Byshop

Firestrike Extreme

Score 22374 - 2950X @ 3.5Ghz, GTX 2080 TI SLI @1920/1750 - Byshop

Firestrike

Score 27044 - 2950X @ 3.5Ghz, GTX 2080 TI SLI @1920/1750 - Byshop

It's interesting to see how the margin between current gen GPUs and previous gen narrows the lower end you go on the benchmark. At lower resolutions there's practically no difference.

Timespy

Score 16622 - 2950X @ 3.5Ghz, GTX 2080 TI SLI @1920/1750 - Byshop

@Byshop: I have done several benchmarks in the past but never really bother to display them here until now: RTX 2070/Ryzen 7: 2700X.

@davillain-: Can you throw up a link to your score? I'll post it in the main.

On a side note, one of my two GPUs just shat the bed so I'll likely be replacing both of them under Microcenter's in-store warranty. I'll likely be posting a fresh set of benches soon.

Alright dude?

I think my mod powers have gone the way of the dinosaur.

I'd be interested if this were a bustling hive of activity, I'm assuming Synthia is gone, I've not spoken to her in ages. Who's running the Community?

@dirty_old_klunt: Running the community? Well yeah Synthia is gone. Now it is @joshuamobleygs and @tcavadias. At least we take things up with them. Oh you will probably be running into some restrictions the first few days. I think there has been some changes to new accounts since you left.

If you got any ideas for the thread we probably should have Byshop notified as well. He kinda owns this one. :P

@Byshop

I'd be down for rebooting the bench thread. Most of the benches we have data for in here aren't necessarily relevant anymore.

Quite nice to see I'm still number 1 on one of them LOL.

Well, if you rebooted it, I'd bench my new rig to see how she got on, obviously I'm not in a position to "moderate it".

Gamespot need a kick up the ass, man.

I haven't done a proper bench since I got the 3080. Last one was with the 2080 after some overclocking.

I've done a few but nothing major, I may tomorrow just for my own edification. Might make a new sig, like the old days. Haha
