on guru3d.com the article says that the 8900GS will replace the 8600ULTRA, at about 250$ =[. I was gonna get a GT, but at 200$, I was aiming more torwards 120-150$...

on guru3d.com the article says that the 8900GS will replace the 8600ULTRA, at about 250$ =[. I was gonna get a GT, but at 200$, I was aiming more torwards 120-150$...bluealien2
$250??? if you're gonna spend that much,you mind aswell get a 8800GTS 320MB.

It all depends on how close the performance of the 8900GS is to the 8800GTS.

Here's the link to the Guru3D article...

The 8900GS will be 250$ for the 256MB one, and 300$ for the 512MB one... I don't see anyhting about the replacement of the 8600ULTRA on that page, but I did hear it somewhere, and the specs are similar to what the ULTRA was rumoured to have...

Anyone know if the 8600GT will require a power connector?  I saw a pic of a 8600 and I didn't see a slot for a power cord anywhere..
