I have 2.8Ghz Pentium D

4 x 512Mb DDR2 667Mhx RAM

ATI x1600pro 128Mb(512 hypermemory) @ 540/920

5.1 channel sound

Intel DQ965GF  motherboard

Windows Xp Professional SP2

the game installs fine but as soon as I launch FEAR I get a black screen. I then have to exit to windows and in task manager it say it is not responding. funny thing is that I dont see any error messages. Help anyone

Try downloading the latest patch from GS and see if that makes a difference.  Your video card is better than mine and I can run it.....on med-low settings.

i have a athlon 3200+ 1 gig of ram and a nvidia 6200 and i can run it on low so i dont think its a hardware problem.

all i can sugest is update drive, download game patches and maybe try re installing it.

go to nzone.com and use the see if i can run this game thing and it should pick up on something that you can fix. hiopefully.

You may need to get DirectX 9.0c, latest ATI Catalyst drivers and possibly updating the game itself. My laptop is a 2ghz celeron, 1gb ram, 64 mb card thing and even it can run FEAR.
