Top games under $10 and $5....really? :P

Well, all of the games listed are widely known about. I really don't think they need the extra advertisement space. I think a better idea would've been top games under $30-21, and under $20.
In all liklihood its because the market does specifically crave games for under that price value. Naturally, making it for everyone to see that is a good thing. I'm all for it myself.
Steam make mega sales from "cheap price" downloads. That's why they continue with Weekend Deals. Theory in sales has always been the way. Sell triple the amount of a deal dirt cheap compared to a few of full price games, you end up at the end of the day making more money from the dirt cheap deal. It's actually a very smart way to do business. Disadvantage with it though is people anticipate such a deal coming, so hold off buying on new releases, knowing that there will be a Weekend Deal. I am very happy that Steam does all this, my credit card doesn't though.
Why are people complaining about all this? Would people prefer to see more expensive titles and not sales? Very confused.
Don't complain, at least yours are nice round numbers! I get games under £7 and games under £4. Something inside me wants it to be £10 and £5... like whenever I see anything with a price ending in .99 I like it though, makes it easier to pick out the good, cheap buys. My debit card hates me for it.Top games under $10 and $5....really? :P

I agree, if a game is under $5 then I don't care if it's good or not.Well, all of the games listed are widely known about. I really don't think they need the extra advertisement space. I think a better idea would've been top games under $30-21, and under $20.

Given the economy at the current time, I think it is a brilliant move. Games for 10% of what newcost!? Epic.
After buying Dragon Age, I wont be able to afford a new game for a few months.
Speaking of new features, FINALLY Steam displays the total amount of time you spent on a game ("time played in the last 2 weeks/total time recorded").
But some of them aren't accurate, for example TMNUF which I have over 90 hours of actual game time and it says 47 hours, also TF 2, I even have the correct time in the stats but not in the profile :P anyway it's a beta, they'll probably fix these problems.
