Saints Row 3 got a discount, looks like my wish came true.

[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]So Portal and Portal 2 are only going to be discounted like that today?Hexagon_777Don't forget to answer this, people. :D
If its on the daily deal then yes.
Do you guys think Valve will extend the first day sale a bit considering that it's been almost an hour since Steam has become unusable or am I being a greedy, self entitled jerk?Hexagon_777
No, they won't.
Nor do I see a reason to. You don't need 24 hours to buy a game.
It would be nice if the service actually worked though.

You have the whole day dude, I'm sure it would be more stable around the evening.:P
Can't really seem to get much to load. Get the odd bit here or there but usually craps out when trying to load a new page.
I think I got Portal 2 for free though. Its showing up in my steam inventory and I hadn't bought it before. I can't be sure though Steam Inventory tab says it has 2 items in it but nothing loads in.
Plenty of time left in the day though to find out.

[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]So Portal and Portal 2 are only going to be discounted like that today?Hexagon_777Don't forget to answer this, people. :D More than likely during the half-way point of the sale they will have an encore day for all the best sold games. So it's definitely possible this deal will come back for people who can't buy the game today.
NO. But 2nd one is pretty fun, even thou it gets boring quite fastIs Just Cause 1 any good

Just picked up (or bought) Orcs Must Die for £3 also saw S.T.A.L.K.E.R for £5 so I might get that, I'm pretty limited on what I can play at the moment, if some of those games don't work I could always get my old PC out and see if it can run them.
I'll probably only get one or two games that I've been wanting to play really bad. The current deal on Portal 2 is extremely tempting.
Nothing I like Day 1. By the end of the sale though I know I'll have spent like $25 and I'll have 5-10 games that were $50 each in the past. I love the xmas steam sale. I've pretty much learned to never buy games brand new anymore. Why bother paying 50-60 bucks for a game when if you just wait it will be $2.79 at the steam sale. (one exception though, I couldn't wait for Skyrim so I paid full price for it, don't regret it)
Anyways, I'm watching for these to drop below $5 before I buy em.
1. War in the North
2. Total War Shogun 2
3. Dungeon Siege III
4. Arkham City
5. Deus Ex: HR
6. Fallout New Vegas
Soon as any of them drop below $5 I'll pick them up, whether it be this sale or the next.

U mean dlcs?
Ok guys, I got a free copy of Half-Life 2: Episode One. I already have a copy, so if you want it, just PM me your e-mail address and I'll give it to you
Edit: Already sent.
I just woke up, so I'm surprised to see the holiday sale here (even though the store was down for a little while)! However, what's this Great Gift Pile? Every time I click on the link it fails to load... :(ssvegeta555Like the summer achievement hunt event, you'll probably have 1 "free" "ticket" every day and for the rest you'll have to unlock achievements from certain games that are either on the daily sale or just the general sale, for which you can unlock either a gift (which contains a discount coupon or a free game from the daily sale) or some coal, 7x coal = 1 gift and every piece of coal at the end of the event counts as an extra chance for the grand prize.
Is anyone trying for the gift pile achievements? It seems most people are just winning coupons. I think I'll just hold onto any coal I receive.guynamedbilly
Just like in the past, I can't be arsed to do it and I certainly won't buy some random hipster crap for achievements.
However I will go for the Orcs Must Die achievement as I bought the game I while back and never even started it. Might as well give it a try now.
Not sure what to do with the coal. By the end of the sale I guess I'll have 13 pieces (the Steam-related achievements minus the Facebook one lol). Maybe I'll exchange 7 for a gift and keep the others.

I bought a 4-pack of Payday: The Heist, and two of my friends were able to redeem their copy, but the third one seems bugged. When I try to re-send it, it says the game is an invalid gift or has already been redeemed lol. I'm sure it will be resolved eventually.

Yea, I don't buy anything I'm not interested in. I did pick up Orcs Must Die today though.
I want Akham city too, just not off steam if it is not cheap enough ( i rather have the physical disc if i am paying the same price). I bought Portal 2 since i always wanted it. Hope to see some big games ( like: Skrym, batman, mw, assains creed etc) atleast 50% offArkham City. I will get it for my son for Christmas so I'll pay full price if I have too, just hopin' I don't have too.:)

Got Empire Total War and Day of Defeat Source as a present. I would say thats pretty good since i wanted a total war game.

Are you kidding me? I bought the first Batman GOTY edition for $2.79. All the games I listed above will on some day be less than $5. You just have to be the type of person who checks steam every single day 365. Might be a bit early for Arkham city but I'd wager I get it for less than $5 before the next years xmas steam sale.
On my list I fully expect to see Fallout New Vega for 4.99 at some point before the end of the year. Either that or a pack with ALL the DLC for like 7.99 (which is what I paid for Borderlands w/ all DLC I think)
