Looks like I'm going to end up buying LA Noire...that's just an absurd price...
I never intended to get it while it was anywhere near full price. And damn you Steam, you reduced it to £8.74...in less than two months...

Magicka? Hell yeah. I'm buying this.
Purchased The Binding of Isaac (with the soundtrack) earlier this week, and today, I purchased Bit.Trip Runner (...with soundtrack). :) I also have six coals, so I hope Runner gives me the last coal I need to craft something (assuming I don't get a gift), since the achievement in Isaac is pretty luck-based and random.
I still haven't got that achievment. Link to steam page ishttp://steamcommunity.com/id/RyhazAnyone still haven't gotten their steam trade achievment yet? I have Floutout if anyone wants it.

The guy in this video (at 11:45) has explanation on that.
Cool, I'll prob just go with the two DLCs he recommended then. Thanks and happy new year! :Dhttp://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2428973 Better save that coalJust-Breathe
That blows, I never even got a game :(
Although I thought Fallout 3 would be my last purchase, when I saw BIT.TRIP RUNNER on sale I had to get it since I loved BEAT. Bought the soundtracks for both too!
[QUOTE="Just-Breathe"]http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2428973 Better save that coalGuitarPAaronI love how entitled everyone in that thread acts. Does valve need to make a more official announcement? Absolutely. But when doing the objectives you know that there is a chance you will be getting a coupon or a game. This include valve games. In past sales the goals just got you an entry into their grand prize. It still operates like that this year, but they give you the opportunity to spend your entries on other items. It is a gamble when you craft your coal. This is made clear and people have no reason to be getting as upset as they are. The sense of entitlement is absurd and disgusting. Example: "Time to get back to my University work, life is more important than wasting my hard-earned money and precious time with such greedy and money-oriented business' who give absolutely no priority nor have any concerns whatsoever over their loyal customers" Keep it classy internet. Anyway, thank you for posting the link to the thread Just-Breathe.
It's a good thing this is your first look at the forums since the sale started. Never seen so many self-entitled people. I had to stop posting until the sale is over. It's really that bad. The forum community is on par with World of Warcraft's and Left 4 Dead's community.

To be fair, I don't expect any company to make a some kind of big announcement/alert at 9:30PM on New Years Eve. It really is pitiful how entitled they act, and Valve should've done a better job at handling that, but the entire event was like one big gamble. Nothing to lose, anything to gain.
This is why people hate Valve fanboys.
"I spent over 2 weeks, wasting my precious time in doing objectives, spent incredible sums of money on buying 'Great Gift Pile' games and other relevant games in hope of achieving something spectacular or something worth the sacrifice and all I have been getting in return is worthless bloody Coal + crappy duplicate Coupons. I'm done with this load of nonsense! Time to get back to my University work, life is more important than wasting my hard-earned money and precious time with such greedy and money-oriented business' who give absolutely no priority nor have any concerns whatsoever over their loyal customers."Entitled CLInt
Name another D2D company that does such giveaways?

I went in the forums after I got brink for 5 bucks and the game was so broken it wouldn't even download. Needless to say I was upset, but the sense of entitlement in the steam forums is just ridiculous. Hence why I use gamespot. If you spent 100 dollars on games you didn't want to get the achievements when you knew that you may just get coupons, you should have just bought that games you wanted in the first place. Ignorance is bliss I suppose. And it's valves fault for people buying games they didn't want to potentially get games they did. No different from gambling really. Except you got things for signing in. And for securing your account.I haven't bought any games  I have bought one or two from the GOG sale though.Been let down this year with this sale compared to last year. Thought my wallet was going to take a pounding but ive only bought 1 game.
