There are some great groups to be found, just find one with a group that takes the game slow and steady and you'll probably have a shit-ton of fun!jer_1
Yup! Arma is definitely an investment. With all the fun I had with Arma 2, I admit I haven't played Arma 3 too much, but I bought the alpha day 1 because of the price, and also because I knew dozens of hours were going to be put into the game eventually. Just a matter of when.
For this Steam sale, I'm excited about it, but at the same time it's unlikely I'm going to be buying much if anything at all. The past months it feels like I've already been buying stuff like crazy (great Amazon sale, then preordered 3 things on GMG, a few crazy daily/weekend sales I just snatched up and don't regret, then the GetGamesGo Bethesda sale someone posted a day back). This stuff will last me all the way to next summer and beyond, considering how little gaming I actually do during the year. The stuff I'd really like to play will most likely only go down to half price, and that'll be $30 bucks at the least. If that's the case, I got a massive backlog I desperately need to get started on. I'm still mucking my way through The Lost And The Damned, and EFLC was one of the first games I installed on this new computer.
I'm looking forward to some unexpected indie gems I've never heard of to pop up though. I've got a passing interest in the games on my wishlist and I'm still debating if I'd even play them when I got them, but it's stuff like Book of Unwritten Tales, any of the Silent Hunter games, Monaco (I'll play this), Endless Space, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, Far Cry 3...Â
