i think it looks flat out badass! i also wonder how it will work with older games that already have xbox 360 support built into them. it looks like it could be fun with FPS games or even games like torchlight II or civ 5. i would love to pwn someone (that is iusing a ps4 controller) while using it if games ever go cross platform (mantle??). kb/m would be fun for that also but still love the ideas they have here.

what do you guys think of it? i love it!

First thought: This thing looks totally ridiculous.

Second: Not so bad actually, just way different than what I was expecting/am used to.

Third: What really matters is how it feels. If it's comfortable I'll probably buy one.

I like it a lot. Not a huge fan of thumbsticks though I have used them way too much.

Very very interested and hope they can sell them <$40.

I don't know about it. It seems like it's going to be similar to playing first person shooters on tablets, which is awful...

It looks really uncomfortable to me. The handles just seem too wide to be comfortable to hold. And the touchpads make me nervous.

Can't say I'm at all excited about any of Valve's "big" announcements.

I am really really interested. I don't know how well it will work, obviously, but I think it has potential to be a lot more accurate than a regular 360 controller, which I'm using. Also will hopefully allow us to play RTS/hack-n-slash etc games sitting on my couch much more easily, which would be a great thing. I just wish they would implement an option for controller users not to face Mouse/KB players online.

The only thing that would have interested me for their 3rd announcement was a game that had a 3 in it.

I think it looks and sounds awful from a control perspective. However, it is ridiculous enough that I'd want to try one out. My first thought is that it would feel like playing twin-stick games on an iPad, but maybe it's less awkward and sloppy than that.

No. PC community doesn't need to be segregated in such a way. If people want to hinder their gameplay by using a gamepad, in a game more suited to M/KB, that's their own dumb fault.

Yes it looks crazy, but valve must have spent a considerable amount of time testing it, so it must work reasonably well. I would certainly like to try one. It's the first real change in the controller for decades.
