Stay far away from that new Rambo game

This game is up there with WarZ and Day One Garry's Incident as the worst games I have played in years. No I didn't buy the game, a friend who also does game reviews got a copy to review and let me tell you, the gameplay and controls are some of the worst of all time. Not to mention the AI and the cutscenes are horribly done. $40 for it to, I honestly cannot believe it. With the Rambo name they could do some half decent game, but this is a rail shooter that is just complete rubbish. I only played 1 hour but even that was hard to stomach.

Just a heads up to those who thought it might look decent. Some people I had seen thought it would be a nice surprise like the first Riddick game was, but its the exact opposite, that game was extremely well made and deserved the awards and praise it got, this game though is complete and utter garbage. The cutscenes are horrible quality and the voicework is way off, the movement as they talk is laughable, its just overall a really horrible game. Looks terrible, plays terrible and sounds horrible to. Should not be more than $2 or $3. Havn't seen many reviews for this game out yet so thought I would give some impressions having forced myself to play a little of it.

Well nevermind this, I just checked my youtube page and saw total biscuit has gotten up a video, about to watch it now. Not sure if he trashes or praises it, I'll have to watch and see but I would put $1000 down saying he's not happy with this one lol. His Day One Garrys Incident video was spot on, this reminds me of that alot with just how crap the quality is.

You could tell the game look terrible just from the trailers, not sure why that didn't put you off.

I don't even like the movies so this game is automatically a no no for me.

Yeah I checked out some gameplay and it doesn't look amazing but I still might check it out (its basically time crisis with blood and explosions from what I can tell).

I had high hopes for this since I am a Rambo fan, thinking it would be something like FarCry3, but when I saw gameplay videos I was let down.

Fair enough they are going for the arcade style game (many here wouldn't even know it exists let alone have played it like me), but they should have done a complete FPS makeover.

I would play it.....if they paid me $40.

Haha felipe wait for farcry 4..You no its got to be developing now..Rambo does rock buddy but this game i can just forget about..Pick up thief or south park this month..Or even titanfall..All good games to get you going until dog fighting in star citizen is released in april :<P..Ya stay far away from this game though..Graphics look like 15 years ago lol..

Perfect example of trying to cash it on the franchise name and just giving you garbage for it. I wouldn't want this game for free.

I really wanted a good action-based Walking Dead and they ruined it.

People seem to forget that Guise Of The Wolf is the worst game ever now. Rambo is still up there, and to think it costs 40 bucks.... what an emberassement to the Rambo name, luckily I've never been a Rambo fan at all. Never even watched the movies.

There pretty good if you like action. For example this scene http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aL39jJN9hHM has a juiced out 60 year old goon on a .50 cal mowing down a small army in graphic detail (doesn't get more actioned packed then a steroid freak mowing down a small army).

the on rails shooter looks pretty fun

sort of like a less bad version of osu

Picking it up on a steam sale, looks like a fun B-game. The fact IRL Alan Partridge hates it, is just a bonus.

Can we announce it as 2014 worst game? or you're going to wait for something worse?

This game is just as bad as survival instincts, maybe even worse lol. Even if you are a die hard rambo fan it is not worth it, complete rubbish, actually feel bad for my buddy who had to play it all the way lol. An hour was more than enough lol.

The sad thing with that game is they had some good ideas and yet did not with them. I just call it "Daryl and Merle in da game".

All I know about the Rambo game is someone calling it Potato Engine 3 lol.

@illmatic87: I did see it coming, I never bought the game myself, just got a chance to play it for a little while at a friends. I know most prolly won't buy this game but just to make sure if some where on the fence about it, just stay away its worse than you might think.

I read those reviews and laughed so hard... It kind of looked like it could have been fun, but MAN they demolished my hopes with those reviews. Oh well.

I'm about 6 missions in and its not too awful. There was a stealth mission with a knife and a bow mission which where cool (lots of blood and violence). Anyone whose not a Rambo nutjob like myself will probably hate this game

cant believe its a rail shooter. thats so out of left field for a Rambo game. Maybe they were panicking after 6 months of trying to decide what to make with the game and not coming up with anything.

I wonder how much money they wasted on making this ... thing. :/

I saw Vinnie & Jeff over at Giantbomb playing it the other day. I think Jeff blew a gasket in utter disgust and confusion as to why they ever made this.

Does anyone not realize that this is like a tribute to the original popular Rambo Arcade game?

I personally would have create a full blown FPS along the lines of FarCry3, but it's on rails for a reason.
