I assume the parts for my unused Socket-775 Dell XPS 420 arrive this week, im going to be using it as a gameserver.

It will have an Intel E8400 3.00 ghz processor with 6 MB cache, 4 Gigs of Huyiundai RAM (I purchased a 4GBG.Skill Pi Black kit, but i want that in my rig), I got a cheapATI3450 to plug a monitor in, and i will use a Samsung 7200 RPM HDD (I have two of them in my gaming rig, but i never use the second one).

Here's my most likely problem:

My connection does 2.2 M/Bit both ways. supposedly, you can run a 32-man CSS server on 1.5 M/Bit, but how about other games?

My verdict is you wasted a lot of money since there are no new games out worth playing

When did your opinion become the deciding factor for whats worth playing? To the TC, that should be able to run and hold a server on most games out now a days, 2.2 m/bit would be fine.
