I have a 9800 GT 1 GB and I want to get another to run in SLI. Do I have to buy another 9800 GT with the same amount of memory or can I can one with 512? Or should I just sell the 9800 GT and get one 200 series card?

I'd say go for a GTX 260 or better. No need to get into the hassle of buying an identical video card and doubling your PSU's work. Oh and by the way, make sure you have an appropriate PSU first.

Generally one more powerful card is better than two weaker cards in SLI or crossfire, or so I have read. Out of curiosity if you sell your 9800 GT where would you do it?

HiI have seen posts here in the hardware forum that some people with

SLI boards are buyinga new Nvidia card and using their old card in slot 2

to run as a physics card. Something to consider.
