That depends on what your preferences are and what you expect from the game.

I normally like FPS games and FAST RTS games like C&C generals. Is this anything like Medievil total war? Total war is boring and unresponsive. i will tell the units to go somewhere and they will stand still.

This game is very slow paced. At least it is to me. I like Sins, but I doubt you will enjoy the game given your distaste for Medieval Total War. The units in this game do respond though. So if the pace wasn't the problem you had with Medieval TW then it might be worth checking out.

I hated games like Civilization and Total War, but I really liked Sins.

I liked the early Civilizations, but despised Civ 4. SoaSE relatively slow to start (make sure all your preferences are set on Fast), but after that it's nothing but fun... The games last along time though so don't go in expecting to complete them in one sitting (although you can for some).

I really think most people who buy it will get more than $39 worth of enjoyment. If not, return it and say it was too violent or the game didn't run properlly.

I hate the total war series but I love this game. It's fairly slow paced, but still very fun.

Its very fun, but individual games can take 7 hours or more. My personal longest so far has been a 9 hour and 38 minute battle for 67 planets in 5 systems. Got kinda boring towards the end...The races are nice and diverse, but not so much that they are impossible to play if you have spent a lot of time with one and not the others.

I haven't heard a single person say "sins sucks" and was totally serious about it. *knocks on wood just in case*
