I just got my laptop and it's preinstalled with vista home premium. I have an xp pro disc. Which OS should I use, I do game a lot, but I'll need vista for dx10 in a few months when crysis hits. I'd also have a lot more memory freed up if I used xp instead. I don't know.

What sort of graphics card do you have? Would it benefit you to run a game slowly with more eye candy in Directx 10 or fast in Directx 9?

Only use Vista if you ahve at least 2GB of memory installed for any kind of performance in games.

XP is where gaming is at, especially on a laptop with the limited graphics horsepower.
