I'm in the market for a new laptop as I'm looking to replace my HP Pavillion dv4t laptop (specs below)

4GB FFR2 System Memory

Intel Core 2 DuoPrcssr T6500 (2.1 GHZ)

512 mb Nvidia GeForce G105m

Spent $850

I'm a Farley avid pc gamer though due to the poor graphics card and processor speed I'm limited to what I can't play.I mostly play TF2 , Killing Floor, and TES 4: Oblivion though I need to turn the graphics settings down considerably.I've decided to donate the above pc to a relative as they are in need of one and I've come across this replacement which seems like a considerable upgrade from the model above (to me).

Hp dv6tse series laptop

Processor

2nd generation Intel(R) Dual Core(TM) i7-2620M (2.7GHz, 4MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.4 GHz

Graphics card

2GB Radeon(TM) HD 6770M GDDR5 Graphics [HDMI, VGA] - For Dual Core Processors

Memory

8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)

Will cost $1200

My worries with upgrading is that I don't know that much about pc hardware and from my limited understanding I see this a good upgrade though I would like to get a second opinion from you guys. For example would I be able to run games such as TF2, Fallout 3, The Wither, Stalker Call of Pripyiat, bioshock and possibly even Metro 2033 on medium to high?

Looking for advice or recommendations on "how good of an upgrade this is".

1. You can't just upgrade a laptop as easy as that.

2. Its a HP and I doubt you can put those parts in, the CPU is most likely soldered. And anyway, the chipsets are completely different, and its not compatible.

3. You have DDR2 RAM in there, you can't use DDR3, its not compatible.

4. The power requirements of the new parts is much more than your old one.

you can get the llano apu laptop. The cpu is not as fast as the core i7, but you get dual graphics in a laptop that will cost you $800.

http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/cto.do

it just released so the prices are a bit high, im pretty sure it will go down in a month or so.
