Yes it'll work, but I don't see the point of going from 1366 to 1155 socket...

Let's see.. mobo: 220$ cpu(i gess you wanted the 2600k): 300$ So that "upgrade" would cost you over 500$,not worth it imo. Get a cooler and overclock your current cpu

Get a CPU cooler and overclock the hell out of that CPU. And then if you're still eager to upgrade sell your 5770's and get two newer, better cards like 2 6950's.

What are the sole purpose for your PC, that 920 is still very strong for games, the CF'ed HD5770 could do with a upgrade. (meaning that the i7 920 wont be the slowest part if you want to game.) And just taking that CPU up to 3.5Ghz will make it fine for anykind of graphic solution (yes SLI/CF of the strongest cards too) alivalable today.

Whe weakest part in your PC is the graphic cards, but CF'ed HD5770 would do fine in most games. I would get a AF cooler, the corsair H100, the antec 920 or the coolit 240 is what I would get. (all closed LC systems with 240mm radiators)

Well the reason why i wanted to upgrade is because i am selling my CPU, Sysemboard, & video cards to a friend of mine cause i wanted to upgrade and use the money i get to buy newer. This is what i want to get. Systemboard: ASUS Rampage III Extreme LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard Video Card: XFX HD-697A-CNFC Radeon HD 6970 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity (Just One) CPU: Intel Core i7-960 Bloomfield 3.2GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80601960 So by me doing this i would not see much difference speed...i know the video card would help alot...so what should i do? Tell my friend to buy other things...

Well, that's a different story. If you really want to sell it to your friend, get a 1155 board and a 2500k + the 6970,forget 1366 socket.

I dont think the upgrade is really needed yet. But if you want to help out a friend and get newer stuff for yourself I guess its win win. The bigger upgrade for you would just be spending like 300 on a kick ass video card or something.
