I've been thinking about buying the complete pack on steam for $50, the reason why I haven't baught any of the civ games is because I thought I didn't like turn-based RPGs. However, after I played through all the total war games, I really enjoyed the turn-based aspect them...If I liked that, should I buy CIV 4? And should I buy the complete pack or just the original? Thanks.

Civ 4 + BTS is great. I have many hours on that game. Well worth the 50 dollars you'll spend on it.

By all means get it. However, shop around. $50 seems a bit high for such an old game.

It still sells quite well and it is the complete pack. I do think you can find it for less though. Definitely worth it. You can play it for months. Note that there's not real-time at all and the TBS aspect is much deeper than in Total War ( i do love Total War games too). It's not an RPG.

Yeah. It's simply a turn-based strategy game. A very well-made turn-vased strategy game.

Since both Steam and D2D version costs $50, get Civilization IV Complete from Direct2Drive. You don't need to run Steam (online or offline) for playing the game then. :)
