By the post it looks like you're buying off of ebay

I'd suggest newegg.com

And I would suggest Core 2 Duo over Pentium D

And a Nvidia 650i or 680i motherboard

How much is it anyway?

I'd also highly suggest NOT getting that X800

Putting the X800 with a core 2 duo would be like butting a 250hp v8 inside a Corvette

Also if you can't afford a Core 2 Duo cpu then go with AMD X2 3200+ or better

so tell me why i shouldnt get this. oh and the mobo comes in a set.

Because there are better alternatives for the money

I dunno who ships to New Zealand but someone on this board does

The core 2 duo 6400 and the 680i mobo will destory that pentium d when it comes to performance

http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu.html?modelx=33&model1=448&model2=433&chart=169

The link above has the benchmarks for the Pentium D you want to buy and the Core 2 Duo I suggested you do buy (They're represented by the red bars, you'll have to look for them cuz there are alot of other processors in the chart

The Pentium D 820 @ 2.8 ghz gets 34 frames per second while the Core 2 Duo 6400 gets 58 frames per second

It's starting to get late in the States but if you ask tommorow in like 14 hours from now, someone will know of a site that is like the newegg site I told you about that ships to New Zealand.

i think... i will stick with the p d... just to be on the safe side. itll be an awesome computer even if its not super computer.

besides... i dont think theres any difference betweeen 800 and 1000 fbs...

and you cant argue with the performance... but... i ust wanna be on the safe side, make sure i get what i want... im just not sure about the e6400...

It's a good overclocker though, so you can just OC it to faster speeds.
