Seagate vs Western Digital HDD....which one is better..?

It looks that i need to buy a new 2TB external HDD because my new only 3 months Seagate 2TB external HDD have die....after 3 months and i have use it only for backups....and this sucks.:(

But i can restore all my files and now i need to buy a new one.But.....which one..??Which one is top today...on external HDD??And i am talk for build Quality, known issues etc, and not only specs.

Western Digital, but they're both very good HDD brands. In fact, I would say they are the top 2.

Western Digital is the brand I trust. Still using my 500GB HD in my near 6 year old computer. I also have a 1TB WD in my own external enclosure.

I have had Samsung and Hitachi drives die before, but never WD.

WD are better. the last 3 seagate drives ive had died within a year. not had a WD die on me yet.

used both high end models of each brand, both are great

I had 2 WD died before even a year... I still got both old 300gb Seagates.

Yes... exactly... to say one is better is wrong personaly... both are the same, I rather have the longer warranty.
