Rise of the Tomb Raider - Jan 28th

I thought the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot was excellent, among the best reboots. I can't wait for Rise of the Tomb Raider. Sure to be the first big hit of 2016. Here are some in game 4k screen shots. Looks great, just as the reboot did. I preorder a Steam key from Kinguin for $30, sick deal.

I just finished it with almost all the non-Expedition achievements completed on XBox One and really enjoyed it. I would HIGHLY recommend it if you are a fan of 2013 one.

Disappointing looks like the only AA available is FXAA. Even the 4K pics look jagged. I don't get why it is so hard to put SMAA in PC releases nowadays.

Obviously I'll be waiting for reviews as Pre-Ordering games these days is just foolish and all that is wrong with the PC Gaming industry.

I've also been Tweeting Nvidia and Crystal Dynamics to try to find out if it will support SLI and 3D Vision like the last game. I've been replaying TR in 3D and it's epic.

same here. I played TR 2013 twice in a row. I can't remember the last game i liked enough to do that. But I may not get this game right away until i have more time to play it.

Me too! I just got TR 2013 on Steam for few bucks. I'll have to play it once I'm done with Mad Max.

It's a great reboot of the series. And you can still question how she finds upgrades to new weapons in old ruins. :P

It looks pretty good and it just can't be a bad game even though I haven't played it *yet*. But judging by the comments everyone loved it so I can't skip this one.

Ordered this game in GMG, I read about bad thing in Xbox One. Where the input lag is bizzare. Which didn't happen on Xbox 360 version.

And there is someone saying the 3d camera stick has like 99 % deadzone until full pull in Neogaf. Pretty sure that one is crap as that conclude massive step down vs orginal reboot.

It's probably one of if not the best reboot of a gaming series ever. It's a bit more Uncharted than Tomb Raider (was) but imo it's better than Uncharted. It has a more engaging environment and better action. The only thing I can say badly about it was that the story and characters were not the greatest. Everything else is about as close as to perfection as you can get. One big tip I will give you - play on very hard right from the start, the game is way too easy. Even on very hard and purposely not upgrading things I found it to be a bit too easy.

Apparently the Xbox One version does suffer from input lag. Digital Foundry mentioned it in their faceoff, the 360 version feels more like the original reboot.

It should hopefully not be a problem with the PC version, but it's nothing mods can't fix if it is.

Was going to get for xbone, but since the master race version is around the corner :D

Enjoyed the first one. I hope this one is more difficult and with a better story though.

@insane_metalist: It's a good length for an action/adventure game. I don't remember exactly but it's not short, maybe 12+ hours.

Off by only 30 minutes. My younger days didn't completely fry my brain.

That's pretty short in my book. I like when games are 20+ hours.

The main story is around 12 hours. If you do the side quests as well you get about 20.

I usually do side quests so 20 hours is not bad. Thanks for the info.

Looking forward to it. Even though I have the Uncharted games the last Tomb Raider game was great. Have always been a Tomb Raider fan.

Last one was great so I'll definitely pick this one up but not right away, currently loaded with games.

Got a copy with my gtx 970 and preloaded it today. I never got around to playing the first one despite hearing how great it was. Will I need to play the first one or do the stories not link up?

The Steam key I bought from Kinguin for $30 got sent out this morning. It's preloading now and it's 17.3GB.
