Hello all,

Due to get a new (fairly high-spec) PC tomorrow. Wondering about recommendations for PC exclusive games to play. I'm not a massive RTS fan (think that's Starcraft out) but love strategy and RPG and almost any other genre.

I will have played most of the big console available titles but happy to hear any good recommendations.

Thanks

wh40k: dawn of war II + expansions its singleplayer is a squad based RPG with some solid storytelling and some kewl combat. the 1st is rather repetitive but the 2nd and third installments are much better

while you have possibly played skyrim. its vastly improved on PC

guildwars 2 is an amazing online rpg with the best PvP in any game of its genre

mechwarrior online is a f2p game like no other i recommend you actually buy SOME tokens b/c the stock mechs suck but once you do get beyond that is a solid game.

Are you made of money? Because you missed the Christmas Steam, and other sales. Hopefully there will be a summer sale on Steam.

Suggestions:

Hearts of Iron III - It's a strategy game. I put like 60 Hrs. into it, and I will probably go back. I think it is only $9.99 at steam; oh, and be sure to try the game on very hard.

Fallout: New Vegas - Not an exclusive, but if you haven't played it already, it will kill some time for you.

DCS: A10C Warthog - You'll need a joystick to maximize your enjoyment. I'm busy with school sadly, and this game is like taking a second class, but in a fun way. It is a flight simulator with pretty good graphics. Kinda pricey at $39.00; the Christmas sales had it for $15 or less. The game takes dedication to get maximum enjoyment out of, something people with school or a tough job can't sacrifice. It's not really a pick up and play kinda game: you have to put in a few hours and do some learning if you want to play it properly. If I didn't have it already, I wouldn't be disappointed in paying $39.99 for it.

The Sims 3 is alright, without a sale it's kinda pricey. It's fun to romance people in the game. I picture myself playing it for a few more hours.
