I'm looking to get a new mouse for my computer, as I'm currently using a crappy $4 Dell mouse Dell MOC5UO It would be used for a moderate level of gaming. (Starcraft 2, CoD, Valve games, etc). Are there any recommendations for good mice? I don't want to spend too much money (ie, near $100), but at the same time I want it to be ergonomic, wired, and reliable. Can anyone recommend good mice that are worth the price? I found this on Amazon (I'm in Canada): Deathadder 3500 for about 50 USD. Is it a good choice?

I have a gigabyte wired mouse, its a nice size and has switchable dpi from 800 to 1600 which is all i really need and It was like £8 they have some new ones out now but they look pretty smiliar just with LED's, could be a good transition mouse for you as I have mine for about 2 years and it's still perfect.. help you decide if you want to move up to the next level without spending too much :)

Deathadder Infared 3500 DPI is the best mouse overall. Anything else is foolish.

Nevermind, I just realized you linked it in the OP >.>

You may want to try them out in a store and see if they feel comfortable or not before you buy anything.

Saitek Cyborg RAT7 for enthusiasts. It's completely customizable and tracking up to 5600 dpi. Also has a cool sniper mode button for when you need lower Dpi.

Aren't infrared mice generally better than optical?

A mouse preference is a very personal thing. Its good there is alot of different models to choose from. I am using Logitech MX518, it cost around $35 at amazon. Very comfortable and has 8 buttons. Its just like the G5 except has a few less features and looks a little different. For $35 this is a very good mouse.

Try to go to a local store and see if they have any mouse available that you can feel around. Its really just a personal choice on how you want your mouse to feel.

Personally im using a Deathadder and I love it.
