Hello!

I decided to be nice with myself this xmas and got myself a custom built gaming rig, meaning that for the first time of my life I got a system that can run any game on high that is currently on the market. One problem though - got no game to go with it.

I want a good looking (graphic-wise) shooter game with a good multiplayer system! I'm not much for single player campaigns, once played through the first time I can never be arsed to do them again on another difficulty.

I've been looking at CoD:Modern Warfare 2, Crysis Warhead, Battlefield: Bad Company, just because it's the only games I recognize, I've been playing MMORPG's for the last 4 years so I'm not very updated on First Person Shooters. I own the very first CoD game, Battlefield 2, and CS 1.6 & Source, that's how up to date I am :D

I know it's not the most graphical intensive game out there, but I'd say that Team Fortress 2 is a must-have for any multiplayer FPS fan. As for the games you mentioned, I haven't played enough of their multiplayer modes to really comment.

i know a mmorpg game, it is runescape. You can play the game on high graphics and its an awesome game. You can see your friends and do quests with them and it is very addictive, ive been playing that game for 2 or so years and i am still not bored with that game

Orange Box, L4D2, And Modern Warfare 2 in that order. They will last you a long time.

I recently got Left 4 Dead myself. I feel like I'm playing the video game version of Dawn of the Dead. It's awesome the way they just flood at you from every direction.

You can't go wrong with MW2. Very solid shooter and it'll look good if you max it :) I'd also recommend TF2, which is a very fun mp game.. spent countless hours playing it myself, and despite its stylized graphics, it's a very good looking game as well.

I highly recommend skipping MW2 and Crysis Warhead. The flaws in both of the games can sometimes be downright frustrating. Battlefield: Bad Company was not released for the PC, but the second one will be next year. I second TF2 and L4D (get it now during the holiday sales!) and I want to throw in the original Modern Warfare. The first one was a pretty good casual multiplayer shooter.

Another Very good game is Dawn of War. You can play it lan and it is an awesome game. It has good graphics and its sort of the same looking has Warcraft 3.

Thanks alot for the suggestions, After watching some gameplay videos and read reviews, I will buy L4D2, and possibly TF2 and MW2 a bit later.

Cheers!:)

Good choice on L4D2. Don't bother touching MW2 on the PC, though. It's a console game through and through.

Out of those three, L4D2 is the last one I would pick by a huge margin. But to each their own :)

Anyway, to the OP get TF2 (well the whole Orange Box). And Left 4 Dead 2. Get Battlefield Bad Company 2 when that comes out.

Multiplayer I think you should try out Unreal Tournament III however I dont know abt the status of the online community (regarding the availability of players nowadays) but the game itself rocks due to its multiplayer. The graphics etc are also pretty and the gameplay is awesome and addictive. After the Titan patch, the game really tops the chart of multiplayer games for me
