Seems I was right in suspecting it was dumbed down for console future release in mind.

Also CA looking for console engineers.

Does this explain why Rome II sucked so hard? Seems so.

Explains most of the shortcomings of the game.

RIP Total War, another series butchered by the consolitis.

We have no plans for Total War on console. The radial menu was something our designers were playing around with for PC. Nothing more than that.

End of story.

CA may not have done the best job launching Rome 2 in the state they did but you people are seriously overreacting.

Also CA looking for console engineers.

Why, that is some definite proof right there !

Oh wait... CA has made console games before: Spartan Total Warrior, Viking, Stormrise, ...

What sucks so hard about Rome 2 ? The bugs, glitches and optimization issues they promised to fix each and every week ? That it's not the exact same as its predecessor ? That a sequel dares to change things ?

If a sequel changes too little, people complain. If a sequel changes too much, people complain. AND IF A SEQUEL DARE ADD A RADIAL MENU !!!11 Than people go bonkers.

>implying a radial menu wouldn't be better in battles

It's fast and easier to remember. I'd love to be able to change a unit formation or activate an ability with just a flick of the mouse.

Medieval 2 had the right idea, it just needed to stick it to the cursor.

And CA is working on that Alien game for consoles.

You're just looking for something to confirm your paranoia.
