I want to buy Divine Divinity to play while on vacation. I'm using her laptop right now and was wondering if I buy it and download it on this laptop, can I redownload it on my computer as well when I get back to my desktop?

Yup, the game is added to your online account with them, you can redownload the game all you want.

Yep, when you buy a game from GOG it's yours to do what you want with it. Imagine that! You buy something and you actually own it.

GOG does no DRM at all. As long as you are logged in to your account you can re-download as much as you like, to as many computers as you want to. You know. What they ^^ said. :P
