Question about DVD Drive and HDD hookup

As I understand it, there are two cables that go to each part. All I have is two SATA cables that came with my motherboard, and that's it. What else cable do I need for the two?

Power cable are needed if its a old DVD drive. Otherwise its just SATA powered.

The 7-pins sata cables that come with the drive are for data transfer.  For power, you need to look at the cables that are sitting on your power supply.  Besides the regular 4-pins molex connections, the PSU should also have a couple of cables with each two to three sata power connectors...
