Post your gameplay videos - now with video Embedding

Can anyone write up a short blurb on how to record their gameplay and upload it? chrisrooR

i personally use fraps to record

along with camtasia 8 to edit. (as a recorder but it fails to record gameplay most of the time in full screen... )

Fraps is actually wonderful if you use it properly....

Always record to another HD, not the one where windows is installed, works perfect when recording to an external HD or you're secondary internet HD.

I use to use get tons of lag when recording with FRAPS, but as soon as I switched it to record onto my external HD it has been perfect.

interesting. I might have to look into one. Have you had it for while because i just did a quick glace on amazon and they have few for $80-120ish? That's the biggest reason why i don't always record a lot because, it hurt gameplay running depending on what i playk2theswiss

I've had it for about 3 months now, it was like 220 euro so 80-120 is a steal.  And yeah a capture card will get rid of any lag or slowdowns when recording. I did tests turning on and off the recording and the frames never budged. 

Also it comes with a huge red button to press !!

I ponied up the $37 for the registered version of FRAPS. I also thought about buying an Avermedia capture card. But, I skipped it. I figure the PS4 will allow game screenshots and videos. I can wait.

FRAPS is pretty crap to be honest. you can't record at 30 fps and play at 60. And recording at 60 is a waste of resources as youtube doesn't support it. It also captures videos at huge file sizes. I got one of those avermedia cards and if the PS4 doesn't allow video capture or screenshots then the avermedia card could have been used instead, although it doesn't work with PS3 

FRAPS' cost is pretty low. So, I can't complain. It's main use is for screenshots rather than video capture. Eventually, I may buy a capture card too.

As for the Avermedia card not working with PS3..... I thought it worked with the PS3 if you used component instead of HDMI.

Well yeah, certain workarounds will do it. I meant just straight connection like all other sources. bit of a pain to get it to work with PS3 compared to say a 360

I use FRAPS and DXtory depending on the situation.

I was thinking about a capture card but the recording quality isn't as good as the lossless codecs I use with FRAPS and DXtory.

To get anything close to the quality as those programs with a capture card I would have to spend many hundreds of dollars.

If I ever get into recording games from consoles that can't be emulated then I might get one......

 (my graphics settings do not look like this, i just viewed the demo file in wolfcam to make it look pretty, I play at 4:3 on ultra ugly graphics)

i went 19-2, not that kdr means anything in quake live

It's fine for me, and my internet sucks so I thought it would crash all the time, but it's surprisingly fine. It freezes for a second before loading though

Seems like you did the perfect thing, Struck while the iron was hot. It's extremely hard to make a dent in youtube nowadays.

While I was finishing Far Cry 3, I found this part of the mission rather humorous

and it only sold like 5000 copies

game has a few problems, his voice can get anoyying after a while

though there is an english track/trash, but don't. it's very bad

i haven't seen a game with a constrained budget have such good art before

sure there's games like sonic colors, but their budget is huge.
