So, the story goes that I bought a laptop for $200 last summer and after a few upgrades, it currently has:

1,88Ghz Celeron M Processor running Vista Basic
2GB RAM
60GB Hard Drive
Intel 945G Express Chipset Family Graphic Card

Needless to say, it wasn't very good when it came to games...

However, on a recent search for a better laptop I stumbled upon the Vostro A860 laptop (Productivity Package Version)

Now I'm wondering on a scale of one to ten, how good would this laptop be for gaming?

Also for graphic rendering, as I will soon be creating games that my current laptop can barely handle...

Where your current laptop might score a 0.5/10, the one you linked to might be a 1/10 or so. The integrated video really hurts it - absolute minimum you'd want for gaming would be a GeForce 9600m (the 9400m is only a couple times faster than integrated), and even then it's not ideal. Still, if you want to keep the price (and power use) down, that would be a good middle ground.

Yeah I figured as much... Plan B is looking much better, the one where I wait until I head off to college and I buy myself a really good one ($800+)
