[QUOTE="ReddestSkies"][QUOTE="aliblabla2007"]So far, 2008 has brought us SOASE, Crysis Warhead and GalCiv 2: Twilight of the Arnor for AAA exclusives, with an average of 9.0 per AAA exclusive.
2007 brought us Crysis, World in Conflict, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade and GalCiv 2: Dark Avatar in the same category, with an average of 9.325 to each AAA exclusive.
On that basis, 2007 takes it.
However, the highlight of the year has only started. Let's wait for the year to finish before comparing.

Basing a judgement of which year was better based on scores (and not even all scores, just the "AAA exclusives") is really, really, really, really, really bad.
Whats the best way to do it then? Sales? Number of games? Number of games in each genre? Number of games with unique themes? Number of games that make you go OMGWTFBBQ?
It would be about listing the games you actually played from each year and determining which year was the best.
Scores are meaningless. Most sites didn't even review my favorite 2007 game at all (Aquaria). As for my most anticipated 2008 games, King's Bounty and A Vampyre Story, well, the former is probably never going to get a Gamespot review, and the latter will score like 6.5 and get a "only fans of the adventure genre will like this game" review here. (Yeah, I know that King's Bounty is out, I just don't have time to play a 70h game right now.)
