Please recommend a keyboard with these features.

Wireless (not bluetooth)

illuminated (prefer single color, RGB is ok too)

Mechanical (prefer Cherry MX reds, browns second choice, other switches ok too)

Must use replaceable AA/AAA batteries.

prefer some media keys

TKL or Full size not too important.

illuminated + Wireless + Mechanical = top model which will cost a lot

Must use replaceable AA/AAA batteries = WAT?! this is 2020 - you're not going backwards when you ask for top brand gaming keyboard.

@gerygo: What's wrong with AA batteries? I use rechargeable ones, and i have a couple so whenever the ones I'm using get low, I just swap it out and then charge the depleted ones. That way I don't need to worry about the non-replaceable batteries dying in a couple of years. I had a K800 logitech. Batteries were pretty good, changed them about once or twice a week. The first one was good, but it broke when i spilled water over it. It seems the build quality on the subsequent ones has gone down though. Gone through 3 now.. Maybe I need to find a spill resistant one too (illuminated and spill resistant lol... one can dream)

I don't mind spending for a top model... do you have any recommended models?

Yeah they don't sell gaming keyboards with replaceable batteries - the K800 isn't aimed for gaming. (not in gaming industry standards anyway)

There's:

  • Logitech G Pro X which costs 150$ (doesn't specify life span)
  • Redragon Vishnu for 70$ Allows for usage up to 10 hours.

You don't have much choice because you can't do mechanical + RGB + wireless good keyboard that will last in battery - they draw a lot of power which will make you plugging in for recharge a lot.

Up to 35 hours with RGB backlighting or 175 hours with backlighting off (Corsair K57 which no longer sold)
