Your rig is all over the place...

16GB RAM or 8GB your choice, 8GB is fine for most people.

HDD, change to cheaper HDD and get a SSD as well.

Change to an Ivy 3570k or 3770k or wait until June for Haswell, that 3820 is likely overkill.

The HCG 900 watt PSU is just stupid unless your positive you will SLI later on.

For the money you saved, change the HSF to SwiftTech H220 or the NZXT x60.

- 16GB ram won't get you any advantages gaming-wise. 8GB @1600 is more than fine. - Get a SSD for the OS and installing games. - 900W power supply :O!! I think that's overkill even for SLI. 600w is fine for that build. - You could get a similar performing motherboard for $100 less. More expensive in this case just means more ports (that you won't be using with that particular build). - CPU is overkill, you could save with a i7 3770K.

wtf why is there a quad core for the lga 2011?  I thought it was all hex cores and up...anyways definitely not worth getting that cpu, either get a 3930k hex core or drop down to the z77 plus core i5 3570k/3770k.

  • $135 for 16GB of RAM? That's way overpriced. Just get 8GB.
  • Get a better case. If you're going to drop $190 for a case, at least get a nice one. Corsair Obsidian, Cooler Master cases are some examples with different styles.
  • 900w is overkill unless you are planning to do SLI/Crossfire for sure. Like, for sure, for sure. There are better PSU brands, like Seasonic, Corsair although Antec power supplies are pretty good.
  • No need for the $275 deluxe. Get an Asus motherboard in the 175-200 range, or if you could find a Sabertooth for $200 would be good.  Or grab a Gigabyte Z77 UD3H motherboard or one of MSI's offerings they have very stable boards. Good gaming board and excellent price.
  • Don't get that CPU.. just get a 3570k, and you could overclock it.  It's easy and (like free money).
  • Get an AMD 7970 instead of a GTX 670.

Go Z77 and 3570k, Z79 is a waste of money in your case.

You chose a laptop hard drive...
