I had this problem ever since I got my video card which was ages ago. Basically what happens is at random points a bunch of different colored pixles come up on the screen, the computer freezes, then I get the BSOD. I'm almost certain it's because of the video card.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? And yes I do have the latest drivers for my card. I have an ATI Radeon X1600 Pro. Anyone have any answers? Thanks for the help.

My card crashes at factory clock at those temps. I fixed it by underclocking the card about 10mhz.

You can also buy an aftermarket cooler for the card, but for such a card, I don't see the point. Plus 10mhz isn't going to come out in your gaming.

When you start to game i would go into your card settings and set your fan to 100% manually. 70 isnt that hot of a temp but that sounds like your problem so maybe your gpu just doesnt have the tolerance it should.
