I'm sure most of you just like me don't visit Gamespot primarily to learn about upcoming PC games or other stuff related to PC Gaming. Sure forums are awesome and we share different stuff with one another but there must a website that you guys visit first before coming here.

For the last 3.5+ years, dsogaming.com has been my 'go to' website for PC Gaming. I am not a fan of PCGamer.com anymore, and think that the website has gone downhill in recent years. On other hand Gamespot lacks enough PC gamers and PC related news.

Dsogaming on other hand is a fantastic website in my opinion. They cover a lot of games overlooked by big websites like Gamespot and IGN. What really impresses me is that, the website is run by less than 5 or so people (if I'm not mistaken) and 99% articles are written by just one guy. It really shows how lazy mainstream websites have become. In my opinion, game journalism is the easiest job in the world right now.

What is your main website for PC Gaming?

I still visit PC Gamer out of nostalgia; I used to buy and subscribe to their print editions. That being said, I prefer Rock Paper Shotgun these days.

Didn't know about dsogaming, I'll add it to the list of sites I follow.

Mentioned already but I frequent RockPaperShotgun. It isn't the fastest news site but it has nice articles and very good writing.

For gaming news in general Eurogamer, for more PC content DSOG.

I used to visit IGN before, mostly because I liked the news format until it became a spam fest for Marvel and non-gaming shit. Seriously the amount of garbage is unbelievable. I still visit sometimes to have a laugh or two.

Let's not even talk about GameSpot news section, the perfect example of garbage gaming journalism, with every headline basically screaming "Pls, CLICK ON ME!"

None in particular. It's not really necessary anymore as I have more knowledge on games than pretty much any of those sites out there and I know what I'm personally after. I wouldn't trust just a single source for anything.

I guess that my "go to" sites would be GameFAQs and MobyGames.

Gamespot used to be good, but isn't really anymore. I hadn't even visited the site for 3½ years until just recently. The layout on the site has just gotten worse, and all kinds of information become harder to find than it used to be.

Of all the gaming sites, Gamasutra.com is the best because it has it all including game development and finding a game-related job.

youtube & twitter

Everything is trash now, and everything owned by vox & gawker is trash especially.

the last good PC gaming website was firingsquad and they died a few years back, gamespot was never good, the forums were the only decent part.

DSOGaming seems nice. Rockpapershotgun has too much indie fluff, which is only rarely interesting.

I do admit, Gummi is right. While I never got into Twitter, I do know YouTube can be a good source. I love to watch popular youtubers, like Markiplier, play games. I found out a lot of cool games through them. I actually found out about games such as Minecraft a while back, thanks to those gamers.

It's just that gamespot doesn't give a crap about smaller games.

They make millions of news articles a day about big stuff like Destiny and Pokemon Go, but almost never shine any light on smaller games.

My go to website for gaming news (PC and other) is Eurogamer. I really like the stuff they put out. And digital foundry articles can be very informative if you are interested in the tech side of games.

But I also get a lot of news from DSOgaming, though I barely visit the site.

Don't really have one. I hang out here and at Neogaf mostly and if something of interest to me is mentioned, then I'll use Google to look it up and visit all the sites I can to get as much info on it as I need.

Rock Paper Shotgun for me, Gamespot barely updates the PC page at all these days. Not that they did that often before.

For general news that I can get on gaming for my time zone, none of this waiting until 5pm GMT for new content I frequent Videogamer.com

You should have made a poll with this question.

Oh and PC Gamer, I can't believe I forgot about that but I rarely use it as often now, so that could be why.

Neogaf for most of my gaming news. I also check RPGCodex and Gamebanshee from time to time if I want to look up CRPG news. For a few specific series I use reddit.

Aside from Gamebanshee it is just skimming forums.

Do they still make printed magazines? I used to buy them quite frequently, until they just stopped showing up at my local bookshop. I never found out if it was because they didn't publish them anymore or they just weren't delivering them here anymore.

Yep, they still publish the print editions. It's just that the circulation is quite low, so they won't always reach every bookshop out there.

For hardware news I lurk the Overclock.net forum once in a blue moon to see if there is anything interesting happening, other than that just Youtube.

For gaming news people usually mention something on the forums if there is anything interesting happening.

I don't really have a go to place for pc news. Only gaming sites I visit are Gamespot and N4G. The former barely reports pc news and with the latter I just check what's hot then close the page, lol. Maybe I'll look into some of the sites that were posted here.

@Realmjumper: Same, and almost as long as gamespot, to tell the truth. I gotta say i'm a bit divided with it. I love the gaming journalism, but i care little about the cosplaying side of it. Altough i guess it's in the name of the site... Oh well.
