I have a laptop, nothing special.

But the charging slot thing is damaged, I have to push the jack into it a lot.

Is it possible to repair, if so do you know a rough estimate on cost?

Yes there are places that repair it for you.

Cost is impossible to estimate at this stage without knowing what needs to be repaired or replaced.

Start by ringing the manufacturer of the laptop and ask where their local service centre is. Then ring them and ask for a quote.

Definitely check your warranty.

Only way to fix that is to resolder it, and that will definitely be frustrating.

Not always. They normally replace the whole charging power device thing.

I meant if you wanted to fix it yourself without spending any extra money
